The Union Grove Youth Group is a community of 6th-12th grade students that fosters spiritual growth and Christian discipleship as we further our understanding and love of God. Our goal is to provide opportunities for teenagers to encounter the loving presence of God, explore the Christian faith, and develop habits of holy living. Please join us for any of our youth events!
Youth Group
UG Youth meets every Sunday afternoon in Davies Hall on the Union Grove campus. Please check the graphics above and the church calendar for specific information about UG Youth events! Our gatherings usually include a bible study as well as snacking, talking, playing, and general Christian fellowship with one another.
Mission Opportunities
Our students serve God and neighbor by participating in mission projects throughout the year. Opportunities include serving in the children’s ministry, caring for kids experiencing poverty, fighting hunger and homelessness, and creating their own mission project. High School students also participate in a weeklong mission trip each summer– in 2017 and 2018, the high school youth ventured to Lumberton, NC to assist in relief efforts following Hurricane Matthew.
Retreats & Special Events
There are many UG Youth opportunities throughout the year for fun and spiritual growth; one example is Pilgrimage, a weekend youth retreat for United Methodist Youth Groups throughout North Carolina. Students are also invited to participate in special fellowship events throughout the year, including lock-ins, group excursions for bowling or laser tag, and holiday gatherings. See above for more information about upcoming special events in the life of the UG Youth Group!
