Orange Congregations in Mission
Orange Congregations in Mission is a local non-profit organization that seeks to meet emergency needs of people in Orange County, North Carolina. We support OCIM through a continual canned food drive, through monthly donations, and through occasional special projects. Union Grove members actively volunteer at OCIM and regularly donate food and clothing to OCIM’s ministries.
Interfaith Council for Social Service
The Interfaith Council for Social Service provides shelter, food, direct service, and advocacy for people in need. Union Grove members who enjoy cooking for a crowd get together on the fourth Sunday of every other month to cook dinner in the IFC Community Kitchen to feed the people housed at the IFC Shelter in Chapel Hill.
Open Table Ministry
Open Table Ministry seeks to improve the quality of life for homeless persons in Durham by building relationships, meeting practical needs, and connecting individuals with existing community resources. Union Grove members cook and serve meals every six weeks for Open Table’s Wednesday lunch gathering.
