Sundays at 10:00 a.m. in Davies Hall — Union Grove Campus
Worship is central to who we are and what we do at Union Grove. We gather on Sunday mornings to encounter and praise God as we explore the Holy Scriptures, connect with our community of faith, and find guidance and strength for our daily lives.
Sunday morning worship is at 10:00 am, followed by a fellowship time. On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion during the service. Our services are also streamed on Facebook Live! https://www.facebook.com/uniongrovenccumc
During special seasons of the church such as Advent, Lent, and Easter, we celebrate Holy Communion weekly. We also have special worship services on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving Eve, and Christmas Eve.
Newcomers Welcome!
Welcome to Union Grove United Methodist Church! When we ask our members how they ended up at Union Grove, many of them share stories about walking through the doors of our church and immediately feeling at home. We hope that as you visit our church – as you worship, fellowship, eat, and study with us – you will feel like you have come home.
We are a community that is open and welcoming, passionate about our neighbors, and devoted to following Jesus. We invite you to come and see what we are all about, and we pray that you may discover the love, peace, and joy that abounds among us.
What to expect on Sunday Morning:
Sunday Morning Service
Our worship service is traditional, and yet it is uniquely Union Grove. Our worship is at once casual and reverent, liturgical and open to the movement of God. We often incorporate non-traditional elements into the worship services, and we strive to be a place where people with various worshiping preferences can feel at home. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, though we celebrate Holy Communion weekly during special seasons of the church such as Advent and Lent.
We invite children to participate in our worship services! A nursery for children ages 5 and under is provided for parents’ convenience. Children’s Worship begins just before the sermon and is an opportunity for elementary-age children to learn more about the Bible without having to sit still the whole time!
Where We Worship:
We worship at 10:00 a.m. in Davies Hall, a multipurpose room on the Union Grove campus that functions as both our worship space and fellowship hall. On special Sundays, such as Christmas Eve and Easter, we worship in our historic Sanctuary.
Davies Hall is the large building located behind the old stone Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall (now called Heritage Hall). When pulling into the parking lot, Davies Hall is the back building located furthest from the road. There are many signs hanging around the Union Grove campus to help guide you!
Fellowship Time and Meals
Fellowship and food go hand-in-hand at Union Grove! We host a Fellowship Time every Sunday immediately following the worship service, providing snacks and coffee as folks connect and reconnect with one another.
Parking
We have plenty of parking at Union Grove. Worshipers are invited to park in the gravel lots on the north side of Davies Hall and on the east side of Heritage Hall.
What to Wear:
Our members’ “Sunday best” includes anything from jeans and t-shirts to coats and ties. We invite you to dress in whatever style is most comfortable for you, casual or formal or anything in between.
Accessibility
We strive to be a community that offers hospitality to all people. Our worship and fellowship space is completely accessible for persons with disabilities and persons with limited mobility. We also offer large print hymnals and Bibles for those who might need them.
